Submittal Number Auto Sequence

Can we add a feature that provides auto sequencing of submittal numbers? For example if you send submittal 033000-01, it would be nice if the system knew the next number automatically was 033000-02 rather than us finding the previous number and adding one. It would prevent skipping numbers.
