When uploading a document to an RFI or submittal you should not need to click upload a second time to start the upload. Once you select a file it should automatically upload to the form.
Architect just encountered this same issue where they selected the file to upload but did not hit the upload button the second time and sent a submittal back without an attachment.
It’s an unnecessary and easy step to miss.

BACKGROUND: The intent here is for the case you’d like to upload multiple files spread across different folders. In other words you would select files and or drag files from multiple folders… and then click upload to upload them all at once. The alternative would be for the file to upload immediately after it’s dropped or selected, but if there were multiple you’d then have to wait for upload to complete prior to uploading the next one.
DISCUSSION: Does the logic above make sense? Would it be more intuitive to make the changes suggested in this post (the alternative provided in this comment) and therefore be a better solution despite the potential time savings we tried to accommodate?

I think this could be resolved with a pop-up box notification noting that you didn’t upload the file if a user tries to click finish prior to clicking the upload button. I think that would help save time, and resolve the issue of being able to move forward in the process without fully uploading a file.
