Documents: Export Drawing & Spec Log

All of our subcontracts include Exhibit 3 that lists all the documents (drawings and specifications) that are included in the contract. That list is constantly changing as drawings and specifications get updated. Therefore every contract that is written (30+ for each job) a log needs to be created. Since drawings and specs are kept updated in the current set, an export of the pages into and excel or csv file would save our people tons of time and increase accuracy.

I'm thinking it would act like the other exports currently where there's an options button (the word options or three dots) that provides includes "export". We do want csv since the template Andersen uses is an excel file, so the Mercury export would be pasted into the template to provide the proper header.

Option 1: Ideally it would export ALL drawings or specs so that options button would be up near the search bar.

Option 2: However if that does not work it could be include in each Set of drawings.

As always, both options will be requested at some point. Attached is an example of what data needs to be exported with each column tied to the associated mercury interface.

Bulk Update

  • [X] Clicking anywhere outside the modal window for the bulk update process loses your work. The window goes away and does not appear as an option to switch back to in the browser windows.

  • [X] How are we handling the description that goes here? When editing AND uploading single pages there is a field to enter the "Version Name". We now also ask for the Version Name in the Bulk update. Can we insert that version name after the V1,V2,V3? We would also need that name to be editable (right now it is not). So when the user choses Edit and makes changes to the Fields below "upload new version" it updates even when a new file is not uploaded. MER-512

Export Log

  • [X] Export of .csv is not included revised sheets. I did a bulk update for 9 sheets, but the .csv shows all of then still as version 1 and the Revision name/desc/date as blank.
  • [X] The csv format tries to turn the page ranges into dates. Ex 1-1 is Jan 1. Then changing the formatting of the cell in excel converts it to a whole different number. Can we replace the "-" between numbers with the word "to"? this outsmarts excel.
