Create Multiple QC Checklists Added Features

Currently I sometimes use what I call the “multiple checklists” (or “multiple forms”) feature whereby I specify a quantity of forms the user can create and assign Locations as they create them. I often use this for two checklists specifically because I cannot take the time to individually create each checklist and assign its Location: 0900 Finishes Fixtures and Trim and 2000 MEPF and Precover.

This works fine in theory but will become problematic on projects with hundreds of forms to be created under a single checklist group (e.g. Kaiser could have 500 rooms for each of these forms!). Problem #1: the ability to create multiple forms with duplicated locations. Problem #2: difficulty finding created forms in such a long list, or just knowing whether the form for a Location has been created yet or not.

A couple of added features I’ve thought of that could correct these problems (there may be better ideas?): 1) Make it impossible to create duplicate forms with the same Location assignment; 2) add a feature that will automatically lists all the forms under such a multi-form group like this alphanumerically to enable a quick manual scan of Locations.

I view these as absolutely necessary features before we get to using these checklists on Kaiser especially, but we also have other projects that will soon be dealing with 100+ Finishes or MEPF/Precover forms.

Related, I’m also generally concerned with viewing/navigating any group of “forms” that includes 100+ forms. I don’t have any brilliant ideas yet on solutions for this, except that perhaps organizationally I could create multiple groups by project floors/zones and limit them to 50-100 forms. But this also opens the door to other user errors such as creating a form with a location in the wrong group, etc. Any better options available in the form-navigation world that I’m not aware of?
