Checklist Item: Remove Pass Confirmation

Current State:

Tapping pass on a checklist items asks for confirmation "Add Response?". This creates 2 taps for every pass. Originally it was to avoid accidental marking of Pass by forcing a second tap.

Desired State:

What we came up with while standing in the jobsite office is described here, but proceed with caution**. Remove the Add Response modal. To allow accidental taps on Pass to be corrected by allowing the user to response to Fail or NA after Pass is selected. This will remove the Pass selection and replace it with the other two.

**THIS ONLY WORKS FOR CHECKLIST ITEMS THAT ARE LIMITED TO ONE RESPONSE.

Quality often requires multiple passes on the same checklist item in which both Pass and Fail could be selected. Safety requires a Observation upon pass and i believe the Add Response button is what triggers that. I also wonder how the "Allow Multiple" will act in this scenario.

What if the solution above was only associated with checklist items that did NOT allow multiple? Which really means it's just for equipment inspections…
